FARM SHARE #1 - June 11, 2020

We did it!  The first share of a new season, and a special season at that.  We didn't plan on offering shares this year but changed our plan when the pandemic came along.  People need food and we want to help.

Typical of the early shares each season, this one is relatively small as the harvest is just beginning.  Still there is a nice variety.

Weekly bouquets are an option.  If interested, email the farm.

Mesclun, bok choy, herb bundle (cilantro in this one)
garlic scallions, rhubarb, pea shoots, greens (chard in this share)

This share, like many to come, includes mesclun, a mix of many leaves to use as salad.  This week the mix is a bit simpler than some times.  More lettuce and no cilantro, arugula, fennel, or dill in the mesclun today.  The mix includes: lettuce, kale, mustard, chard, beet leaves, spinach, chicory, Johnny Jump Up flowers, edible chrysanthemum, amaranth, lamb's quarters, mint, and mustard.

Mesclun

Here are some of the less familiar leaves in the mix.

Enjoy your share!
